Abstract Background & Objectives: Hemodialysis is the most common form of renal replacement therapy, the patient may Several uremia. inadequacy numerous complications is the most common psychological problems in hemodialysis patients. This study aimed to determine the association between dialysis adequacy and depression in hemodialysis patients Material & Methods: In this cross-sectional study of 46 patients undergoing dialysis, hospital dialysis ward of Imam Khomeini (RA) Shirvan city Were referred The sample selected and depression with the Beck Depression Inventory and dialysis adequacy V / KT and URR were evaluated To achieve the study objectives 15SPSS all the calculations in statistical software using descriptive and chi-square test was performed. Results: 39/2% of patients with depression were in the range of 34/2% of patients had optimal dialysis adequacy There was an inverse association between dialysis adequacy and depression Conclusions: It seems that in this study those with no depression or a depressive low favorable dialysis adequacy were And in the study with larger sample size is recommended.
