Introduction: Hypertension is one of the most common chronic diseases in the world today. Various studies have shown that people with hypertension have a lower life quality than people with normal blood pressure. Despite various studies on hypertension, little information is available on the life quality in patients with hypertension. Due to the relative ambiguity in this regard, the study has examined the quality of life in patients with hypertension.
Methods: The statistical population of the study consisted of those referring to Health Services Comprehensive Centers of Khaf city in 2019. Three hundred eighty-four persons were selected as a statistical sample based on the Morgan table. The required information was collected through a standard short questionnaire of life quality (SF36). Data were analyzed through the techniques, including data normality test, independent t-test, and analysis of variance using SPSS 24 software.
Results: The findings showed that the life quality means of patients with hypertension in the comprehensive health services centers of Khaf city was 52.09 ± 13.91. There was no significant difference between life qualities in different age groups. The average life quality for male and female patients is equal. Patients who have health insurance have a better life quality, and The average life quality of patients is equal in terms of marital status.
Conclusions: Hypertension is closely linked to patients' life quality. Therefore, considering different aspects of life quality in hypertensive patients can be a significant step in promoting community health
