Abstract Background & Objectives: Correlation between stress and coronary artery disease has been documented in many studies. Schemas develop in childhood and make cognitions and believe in future. In order to analyze data, multi variables regression test has been used. Result: Results showed a significant positive correlation between task- focused coping style and intellectual emotional schemas (R2=0/215,p<0.05) and a significant negative correlation between task- focused coping style and blame emotional schemas(R2=0/219,p<0.05). task- focused coping style was not predicted by any dimension of emotional schemas (R2=0/159)., Assessment of all dimensions of emotional schemas showed that higher values predicted negatively emotion- focused coping (R2=0/271), rationality negatively predicted avoidance - focused coping style (R2=0/291), Blame predicted anxiety (R2=0/47) and numbness was negative predictor of depression (R2=0/484). Conclusion: Result of this study showed that emotional schemas have important role in coronary artery patients and needs to special concern in treatment and rehabilitations of these patients
