Abstract Appendicitis is one of the most common surgical diseases that is currently treated by two surgical approaches, open and laparoscopic methods. One of the postoperative complications of appendectomy is stump appendicitis which has been reported in various forms. This report is dealing with an admitted case with lower right quadrant pain after laparoscopic appendectomy. After clinical and laboratory examination, the patient was candidate to diagnostic operation and finally the stump appendicitis was removed
